The Shawl
Written by David Mamett
Directed by John Guerrasio
“Let us contact the spirit world.”
The Shawl by David Mamet is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. The fun begins when a phony fortune teller tries to trick a woman out of her money. Then the woman tries to trick the fortune teller but the ghost tricks them both. Or… does it?
The Shawl is an intriguing psychic mystery featuring David Mamet’s famous stylized dialogue that bristles with wit and menace.
As the blues song cautioned, “Somebody done hoodoo’d the voodoo man!”
